Ok, so I think A LOT, and I get tons of business ideas and ideas in general. I write them down because its my habbits, and one of the habbits of creative people. I heard a sermon from Mars Hill titled a theology of creativity. It talked about how most people don’t think they’re creative, because they are not artsy, but that being creative is a property of God, and we’re made in his image, and commanded to go work (subdue) the earth. One of the things it suggests is putting yourself in a creative place and always having a notebook (or iPhone !!! :-P) to write down ideas, and also realise that ideas are creative too, not just artsy things! Anyway I digress…
My point is, I had the idea of having a good ol’ fish ‘n’ chips place in HK. I think it would make a lot of money if it was done well, because the ingredients aren’t too expensive and there are a lot of expats in Hong Kong that would love authentic fish and chips. Anyway I wrote down the idea on my notes / todo list in apple OSX mail, but it when I do that it makes me feel I need to do it!!!! I decided that it wasn’t my calling in live so I’m blogging it like my other ideas. There are some mentioned at the link below, I’m not sure if any of the further out ones are any good, and authentic British fish and chips.

The other ideas I’ve had recently include:
Pocket wifi creator
Create a mobile battery powered wifi network for linking iPhones and other devices together when not around a computer or router that can create a network, so multiplayer games or file tranfers can be done.
Wine glasses with detachable stems
A bit gimmicky but a cool design, and best described in a picture:

hmm.. yes fish and chips are good.. esp. chips and gravy!!
P.S. i didn't realise i was suposed to have 'habbits' as opposed to a habit :P 'habbits' sound like cute furry animals i want to cuddle.. maybe they would look similar to a rabbit. Or maybe a hobit crossed with a rabbit?
:P :P

:-P I can't help my spelling !!!! I'm too old to change!
but you should totally tell your dad to start a proper fish and chops place in HK!

Nice blog J - the ironic thing about it is that some of the best chippies in the UK are run by Chinese people!! Our local one (Golden Plaice…don't you just love that name!?) is run by a Chinese family and they give you free prawn crackers with your order - a bit random, but certainly keeps you going on the way home from picking up your fish 'n' chips! :)
P.S. What's wit the wine glass idea?
hehe, yea it is ironic! the wine glass idea was just random, and something I thought was cool!
But what's the point of the detachable stem?
its like one of those things you would expect to see at one of those arty novelty gift stores :P
a wine glass that when you hold it it feels like you have an icecream too… sweet!
