DIY Projector
After seeing how high priced commercial projectors are, I came up with the idea of trying to build my own.
After searching the net, I found three main ways that people have achieved it.
1) Using a standard computer monitor or TV
This has been around the longest. There are lots of sights offering plans for a price. You don't need them, you can get them from here free. This is cheap, it works, and you get get quite good resolution, but it's bulky and not very bright.
2) Using a large LCD, normally meant for use on an OHP. You can get these for about US$100. You can get great resolution and get it much brighter than the previous way, but again it's very bulky.
3) Using a small LCD through an old CRT projector lens. This way can be made the smallest, and possibly the brightest, but has a lower resolution if you want to keep the price about the same.
